The Christmas Parade That Wasn't

So yesterday we get all bundled up really early in the morning to go to Flower Mound. My best friend Shay and her kids were taking us to the Flower Mound Christmas parade. Shay had blankets ready for us, she made a huge thing of hot chocolate and some peanut butter cookies. The kids were really excited because they throw lots of candy out too! So we load up the burb and head off for the parade.

Well......we get to the parade route and guess what?.......no parade. That's right the parade is next weekend. The kids were bummed!!! Then, Shay and I start smelling hot chocolate and I mean really smelling it and it is all the way in the back of the burban. So, we pull over, open up the back and see that the hot chocolate has spilled out all over the back!!!! The blankets were soaked and so were the cookies!!! We head back to her house to clean it all out. Luckily, the city of Lewisville was having their Christmas thing downtown so after the hot chocolate fiasco was cleaned up we headed there. The kids had a great time. They road on a little barrel train!

Then we went by a tent where the kids could make their own crazy Christmas hats!! The idea was so cute that I want to do at the house. Everybody's hats looked great!

Katie also got to have cookies and walk around and listen to carolers and do all kinds of stuff!

Katie got her face painted too!

All in all....I think a fun time was had by all!!
